The Farm
Our philosophy
Our farm is a small flower farm made up of fields and woods. We cultivate lavender for decorative purposes, for scented sachets, and some types of rustic plants and flowers for the creation of KM0 floral art pieces for the Colombano Flower Shop in the town of Alba.
The wild garden project is in its early stages and evolving, aiming at offering flowers, seasonal foliage, branches and wood for sustainable floral design
The story of ANSÈM as told by Riccardo, one of the founding partners:
This hill in the Langhe made me fall in love at first sight. Climbing almost by chance on a steep meadow among the bushes, I struggled to reach the top where I found an extraordinary view and perceived a subtle and delicate peaceful vibe.
At every glance my eyes always discovered something more: some lavender plants at first, then the surrounding woods, hazelnut groves, vineyards, the castles of Langa and Roero on hilltops and, further away, the Monviso and the Alpine arc.
It was truly a big surprise, followed by a deep breath and then the desire to create, with the precious support of my family, a deep connection with those fields – taking care of them, preserving them and sharing them with people who, like us, are looking for a more authentic connection with nature.
ANSÈMis therefore not just an agricultural and experiential projectit is something unexpectedly profound that brings me even closer to my brothers, parents, wife and daughters, and somehow even to the grandparents who are no longer with us but with whom I feel an increased closeness in the silence and beauty that nature offers here.
These are our roots with our land, and with ANSÈM they will become even deeper and stronger.

Green
The energy used for the various activities is produced by a small independent photovoltaic system and the many lights that create the scenic evening atmosphere are also solar powered and autonomous.
Nature
No chemical treatments are used in the cultivation, but only mechanical or manual gardening operations. This involves a lot of work and effort, but we want to welcome you in a healthy and wholesome environment.
We try to optimize and minimize the use of water resources, cultivating varieties that require little water and keeping the lawns in wild garden style, leaving also spontaneous and native herbs and shrubs.
